Board of Directors

Marie Côté

President of the Board of Directors

Marie Côté’s career path spans more than thirty years in media, marketing and communications management (National Bank, Société Radio-Canada) as well as in the development of the creation and production of cultural organizations (Cirque du Soleil, Productions J, ARTV).

Since 2015, she has advised several growing companies in the digital creativity sector—including Celliers Intelligents Inc., Rodéo FX visual effects and HUB Montréal—on business development and international relations.

A member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), Marie Côté has more than 20 years of experience in corporate governance. She currently sits on the boards of directors of the Centre de Recherche Informatique de Montréal (CRIM), Loto-Québec, the Mount Pinnacle Land Trust, Xn Québec and the Agence de mobilité durable (AMD).

Raymond Leduc

Former President

President and CEO of Numetrix Technologies, Raymond Leduc has thirty-some years of experience in management at international corporations like IBM Canada, the Volvo Group and Bell Helicopter Textron Canada, where he also served as President. Raymond is a founding member of the MiQro Innovation Collaborative Centre—Bromont’s C2MI—and served as the first President of the Board of Directors. He has also been a chairperson of the National Research Council Canada. He has been the Chairperson of the Jalon Board of Directors.

Martin Trépanier

Administrator

Martin Trépanier is a civil engineer and professor at the Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal, an engineering school affiliated with the Université de Montréal. He’s conducted a number of research projects on intelligent transport systems, urban mobility, transportation planning, operations logistics, data mining and processing of large datasets, such as smart cards, carsharing transactions, bikesharing and GPS traces. He’s a member of the Canada Research Chair on Personal Mobility. Since January 2019, he’s been the director of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation (CIRRELT).

Lucie Lazar

Administrator

Lucie Lazar is part of the Saputo team as Senior Vice President, Corporate Accounting since 2019, having previously headed the Internal Audit department for the Company for just over a year. Saputo is one of the top ten dairy processors in the world and produces, markets, and distributes a wide array of dairy products of the utmost quality, including cheese, fluid milk, extended shelf-life milk and cream products, cultured products, and dairy ingredients.

Prior to joining Saputo, Lucie Lazar was part of the Montreal Deloitte team for more than 26 years, including 11 years as a partner. She was part of the audit and advisory practice, serving mainly multinational companies in several industry sectors. She was the industry leader and spokesperson for Deloitte in Quebec for firm initiatives in the consumer goods sector and also led the IFRS and offerings services advisory team for 5 years and, in that capacity, she was part of the executive team of the Quebec audit practice of Deloitte. During all the years she spent at Deloitte, Lucie Lazar was involved with campus recruitment. 

Since 2018, Lucie Lazar, in addition to her position at Saputo, she is a member of the Board of Directors of Jalon. She is also the Chair of the Finance Committee and sits on the Governance Committee of Jalon.  

Lucie Lazar also served for five years on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of a rehabilitation hospital and was also Chair of the Finance Committee. 

Finally, Lucie Lazar holds a graduate degree in public accounting from McGill, a bachelor’s degree in marketing from HEC Montreal, and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) degree.

Pierre Thibault

Administrator

A renowned architect, Pierre Thibault has been the driving force behind many large-scale projects in Quebec’s cultural, institutional and private sectors, including the Abbaye Val Notre-Dame in St-Jean-de-Matha, the Ephemeral Gardens project (presented as part of Quebec City’s 400th anniversary) and the Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur. He believes in a design process that puts human beings in constant interaction with the building or landscape in question, be it natural or urban.

Lucie Bouthillette

Administrator

Lucie Bouthillette joined Provencher_Roy in 2011 as Vice-President of Marketing, Communications and Development. The firm, which had close to 125 employees in 2011, is now a multidisciplinary firm with over 350 employees offering integrated services in architecture, urban planning and design, landscape and interior design.

In 1985, she completed her studies in industrial design at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Environmental Design and Planning and worked in this field before progressively moving into communications, brand management and business development.

For the past 25+ years, she has worked with multidisciplinary teams within major organizations, building her expertise in everything from strategy and analysis to creative project management.

Prior to joining Provencher_Roy, she worked with the Desjardins Group, first as Marketing Director from 2004 to 2009 and then as Senior Director of Corporate Communications from November 2009 to July 2011, where she was responsible for managing the group’s corporate and brand advertising within the Communications Division.

 

Danielle Charest

Administrator

An actuary by profession, Danielle was a consultant for several years before joining the firm Normandin Beaudry as a partner. After more than 15 years in the field, she entered the creative world of fashion and design. For the next 16+ years, her structured thinking, financial skills and business acumen contributed to the growth of Maison Marie Saint Pierre and its international renown. In her role as a senior partner and vice-president, Danielle managed the operational and financial aspects of the company, creating a framework that fosters creativity and success.

She is deeply involved in her community and has served on several boards of directors. She currently sits on the board of directors of the Orchestre Métropolitain (OM), and the Théâtre de la Ligue Nationale d’Improvisation (LNI). She also sits on the steering committee of the Montreal Climate Partnership and is involved in various projects whose goal is to accelerate energy transition.

After serving on the Jalon Board of Directors, Danielle is now putting all of her energy into new her role as President and CEO to ensure Jalon’s continued success in accomplishing its mission.

She holds a B.A. in mathematics with a major in actuarial mathematics from Concordia University and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Antoine Sambin

Sustainable Mobility Consultant

Antoine has twenty years of experience in the urban mobility and transport sector. His expertise is centred on helping launch innovative products and services and improving customer experience overall. 

In his previous positions in Europe and Asia, Antoine worked on the development of new mobility vehicles and services for PSA Peugeot Citroën, coordinated the marketing innovation of Transdev’s public transport networks, successfully launched the European intercity bus and coach service Ouibus and modernized the passenger experience of Hong Kong’s tramways.

Antoine is now putting his skills to work for Quebec’s shared mobility initiatives (pooling of services or parking spaces) and is coordinating Jalon’s start-up support program.

Véronique Laurin

Sustainable Mobility Consultant

Véronique works at Jalon on various active and collective mobility projects. She also runs the Chantier auto-solo, a transdisciplinary table that looks at our attachment to individual cars and ways to encourage people to shift their behaviour towards more sustainable modes of transit. She brings her vast experience in communications, her natural curiosity and her ability to bring together stakeholders from different fields to advance promising projects in sustainable mobility. An engaged citizen, Véronique also sits on the board of directors of Solon, an NGO whose goal is to create friendly, supportive and ecological living environments.

Victor Char

Sustainable Mobility Consultant

A LEED-ND (Neighbourhood Development) certified urban planner, Victor has built his career in real estate development and urban planning consulting. Today, his mission is to better understand mobility behaviour and redefine our relationship with the automobile through concrete projects that have strong deployment potential. For him, mobility and its repercussions on our living environments represents the most significant challenge of the coming years in the fight against the climate crisis that we’re all facing.

Quentin Freixo

Sustainable Mobility Consultant

Quentin joined the Jalon team after seven years working in the Netherlands and Canada as an engineering consultant in transportation planning.

He is passionate about systems engineering and is convinced that sustainable modes of transport can only be developed if they are accessible, appealing, efficient, practical and safe. Quentin uses dialogue and the scientific method to identify the strategies and means that will lead to a sustainable transformation of the transport system.

Since January 2021, Quentin has also served as Vice-President of Communications for YPT International (Young Professionals in Transportation) in Montreal.

Tomy Mestas

Sustainable Mobility Analyst

Trained as an industrial designer, Tomy is driven to design products and services that create new experiences for users. He brings his analytical skills, eco-design savvy and foresight to subjects like new practices for urban logistics. 

Jalon is an opportunity for him to apply global design thinking to mobility issues. He is deeply interested in the evolution of transport practices and the way in which citizens are co-creators of their mobility. He is convinced that a city’s sustainable mobility offering is an indication of its environmental, economic and social vitality.

Annick Di Lalla

Sustainable Mobility Analyst

Driven by a strong interest in social and environmental issues, Annick pursued a Bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in women’s studies. With nearly a dozen years of experience as an administrative assistant, Annick joined the ranks of Jalon to contribute to innovative projects that bring about change.

She was first hired as an executive assistant and joined the consulting team a few months later as a sustainable mobility analyst. Her experience in institutional and community environments, as well as her critical thinking, curiosity and collaborative spirit, have proven to be an asset time and time again. Through the projects that she takes on, Annick hopes to raise awareness of mobility issues among organizations and citizens and encourage the development of new, more inclusive and sustainable practices.

Sébastien Beaudoin

Senior Director, Sustainable Mobility Business and Data

For the past twenty years, Sebastien has proven himself to be an agent of technological change for companies in all industries. He owes his track record of success to his ability to provide companies with the expertise to combine technological and business strategies. With the streamlining of business models in the mobility sector, he offers a unique perspective to help guide and support the various stakeholders within the ecosystem. At Jalon, he leads the digital strategy for mobile data sharing.

Nancy Gemme

Sustainable Mobility Consultant

Passionate about innovation, Nancy has over 15 years of experience assisting companies with their brand positioning and the development of distinctive communication strategies. After running her own communications agency for seven years, Nancy made a name for herself by taking on a number of projects within a merchants association, where she spearheaded public consultations and organized major events. As the director of Bonjour Startup Montréal, her goal was to get Montréal on the Global Startup Ecosystem’s top 20 list of most dynamic start-ups around the world.

By joining Jalon, she plans to put her expertise, her knowledge of Quebec’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and her considerable enthusiasm to work to help foster the development of innovative sustainable mobility projects.

Stéphanie Paré

Sustainable Mobility Analyst

Stéphanie has an M.A. in environmental and industrial design. She loves nothing more than a challenge and rallies around causes that affect people directly. Her passion, meticulousness and creativity enable her to think outside of the box and understand complex issues. She puts her considerable skillset to work to help Jalon develop sustainable urban mobility. Stéphanie has made it her mission to integrate human values into pilot projects to help advance the future of mobility.

Karim Er-Rafia

Director, Data Valorization Strategy

Karim is a specialist in solution architecture and the development and delivery of systems using the Agile methodology. For the past 20 years, he has worked on major information technology (IT) projects across a range of industries (energy, finance, banks, insurance, transportation) in both Canada and the United States. He now brings his expertise to help build a data platform in conjunction with the data sharing strategy that Jalon is developing in the intelligent and sustainable mobility landscape.

Amine Belkacemi

ETL Developer

A highly experienced solution designer, Amine has nearly 10 years of experience in the IT industry, notably in business intelligence, big data and on-premise and cloud-based analytical platforms.

Amine has an in-depth knowledge of data warehouse architecture, data warehouse modeling, data integration and ETL/ELT development, as well as data reporting and visualization. Throughout his career, he has worked with many systems such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift and others. 

His expertise and passion for data led him to join the Jalon team as an ETL developer.

Carole Philibien

Data Analyst

Carole has been working in information technology for almost 15 years and has technical expertise in everything from programming to architecture to data integration. Over the course of her career, she has had the opportunity to work on large-scale IT projects in the fields of energy, transport and logistics. Today, Carole is putting her experience and expertise to good use in the analysis, enhancement and accessibility of data on Jalon’s digital mobility platform.

Akshal Aniche

Full Stack Developer

Akshal has a B.Sc. in computer science from McGill University that he uses to bring a fresh and innovative perspective to the implementation of Jalon’s mobile data platform. Within the team, Akshal draws on his expertise to contribute to the creation of sustainable mobility solutions that will help fight climate change.

Akshal works on several projects as part of the development team, notably as a front-end developer. He is also responsible for creating and improving the various modules that make up the data platform.

Randall Ascui

Director of Financing and Communities of Interest

For the past 15 years, Randall has worked as a director of sales, marketing and partnerships in the world of design and architecture both in Canada and abroad. As such, he helped organize the first 2017 World Design Summit in Montreal. He was also involved in the magazine Intérieurs, was part of the PID Agency, which oversees the SIDIM Salon du Design, and organized the Grand Prix du Design gala for many years. He brings his vast experience in financing and partnerships to advance a cause that is close to his heart: intelligent and shared mobility.

Diane Harrison

Director, Administration and Human Resources

Diane oversees a wide variety of operational activities—including the entire human resources division—to ensure that Jalon runs like a well-oiled machine. She has worked in corporate administration for many years and has extensive experience with start-ups. She is a unifying force within the company and is committed to helping Jalon and the team grow by ensuring excellent working conditions and practices.

Frédéric Power

Chief, Accounting and Finances, MBA, CPA

A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with an MBA in accounting sciences, Frédéric is passionate about accounting as a way to help SMEs and NGOs take their business to the next level. He was worked in a variety of fields, from software, communications and marketing to accounting services, and is always looking to use his skillset to create value within an organization. He was drawn to Jalon and its challenge of addressing the urban mobility issues that are becoming a vital issue for how we get around in the future. Day in and day out, he brings his knowledge and willingness to change to help the organization kick into an even higher gear.

Morgane Lopez

Manager, Communications and Marketing

Morgane has a master’s degree in communications and more than five years of experience as a consultant in public relations agencies. Over the years, she has deployed a number of local and international campaigns to promote her clients’ brand image. Whether she’s tackling a technological subject or launching a mass campaign, collaborating with a non-profit organization or working an international company, Morgane always comes up with high-level strategies that deliver effective results. 

Today, Morgane is putting her expertise and determination to work for Jalon to promote the organization’s projects and to ensure that all internal communications are clear and effective.

Morgane also does cybermentoring missions with Public Relations Without Borders (PRWB), where she guides NGOs in Africa with their communications initiatives to support their efforts in the fight against climate change and inequality.
